Shi San merely watched as Sensei began to beg Kanto to spare his life. Shaking her head, she spectated his moment of wallowing in fear feeling that if he was so quick to beg for his life in the middle of the battle, then he surely did not deserve the title of sensei.
She had done the right thing, she had no doubt about it. The winds of change seemed to flow into the room and she sheathed her weapon, watching as Kanto moved forward.
“I am all your nightmares come to life.”
Sensei's eyes opened wide, as he felt the cold steel blade cut straight across his neck. The shocked expression on his faced remained as his head rolled over on the floor and blood spurt everywhere. His headless body keeled over and Shi San looked around the room where a display of heads and their corresponding bodies lay.
“Shi San… thirteen…”
Kanto called her name as he picked up his blade from the ground. Shi San looked up, a blank expression on her face, wondering how he knew what her name meant. Pursing her lips, she maintained her stance, remaining between the shadows and the light.
“…You’re skill with that blade is…. remarkable.”
Shi San nodded, she knew that already and she did not need a stranger to praise her upon it. They were supposed to fear her ability and skill, not praise it. Then again, she wasn't here to fight him, nor him her, so she remained silent, having nothing to say to him.
She continued to watch him in curious silence as he stepped up to the raised platform which the seat of the Sensei stood and placed his foot upon it.
“Why did you do it?”
Shi San paused, thinking of why she had reacted the way she did. She was rather unsure herself. All she could think up was that Kanto had proven to hold potential, proven to be a rather interesting figure. He came from no where, and as she observed him she saw an inner strength that she had witnessed elsewhere.
”Kirigi.”
Her gaze shifted slightly as she looked from the ground and then back to Kanto. She was trying to formulate a rather believable response, not wanting to show that she had taken an odd shine upon him.
“There is no room for traitors or the weak minded in the League of Assassins.”
Shi San finally said, standing proud and tall, her grey eyes gazing fiercely into Kanto's.
“Judging by your character... or what I have seen of it... you would agree.”
She finished, not really expecting a response in return. Shi San continued to hold her position, wondering what was going on outside these walls and how the other members were reacting to the entire situation.
